2. Website

When the website is accessed, technically necessary connection and server data is processed to provide the site securely and reliably. The public website currently does not use advertising or audience analytics and does not embed social-media trackers.

3. Cookies and local storage technologies

PingGo does not use marketing, advertising or audience-measurement cookies on the public website. Where cookies or local storage technologies are used, they are limited to technically necessary functions, in particular security and required website settings.

The cookie notice remembers for the current browser session that you closed it. This uses only a session-storage entry in the browser. Security-sensitive pages may use technically necessary storage mechanisms so that the function you requested can be provided securely.

Where storing information on your device or accessing information on it is strictly necessary, section 25(2) TDDDG applies. Where personal data is processed, the GDPR legal bases described below apply in addition.

4. Account and authentication

For registration and account security, PingGo processes in particular the email address, technical account and session information, and required security characteristics. Confirmation, password recovery and device confirmation use secure links.

5. Profile, presence and features

Depending on use, PingGo processes profile information, contact preferences, selected preferences, current presence and proximity data, and media supplied by the user. This data supports the functions selected in the app.

6. Safety and abuse prevention

Technical security and event data may be processed for protection, traceability and abuse prevention. When users use report or hide features, the information required for review and protective measures is processed.

7. Service providers

PingGo uses technical service providers for authentication, database operation, hosting, push notifications, email delivery and abuse prevention. Access is limited to what is required for each service purpose.

8. Legal bases

Processing required to provide the account and product is based in particular on steps necessary to enter into or perform a contract. Safety and operational measures are based on legitimate interests in a secure, functional service. Where statutory obligations or consent apply, the relevant legal basis is used.

9. Retention

Personal data is not retained longer than necessary for the relevant purpose, account use, safety requirements or statutory retention obligations.

10. Your rights

Subject to the GDPR, rights may include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Requests can be sent to support@pinggoapp.de.

11. Complaints

You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In North Rhine-Westphalia, the competent authority includes the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.

12. Changes

This notice will be updated when the product, service providers or legal requirements change materially.
